Putlocker Source Code (2011)
Source Code is a Action Sci Fi Thriller film Directed by Duncan Jones (same guy that brought us Moon, 2009) This film centres a soldier who wakes up in another man's body. He soon discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. It's starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, Jeffrey Wright, Russell Peters, Michael Arden & Scott Bakula. #FACT: Topher Grace was also considered for the lead role. SLIDER'S REVIEW: When I saw the trailer for this film, I knew I had to go see it. Last time I saw Jake Gyllenhaal in a major role was in Love & Other Drugs and his performance there was very heartfelt. When I watched Source Code I was surprised that it surpassed all my expectations, believe me when I say this is one epic blockbuster (a must see). It's one of the most thrilling rides I've been on whilst watching a film. The action is very hands on and detective like work so were exploring with the lead role, this made it very entertaining. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is as good as Inception (yep it's that good). From the moment we meet Capt. Colter Stevens on a train this film had my full attention (it just grabs you from the word Go). I felt like I started off with the main character because he knows as much as I did when the film starts so it felt like we went through understanding the Source Code together. I loved the twist and turns the storyline takes, one minute I thought I knew what was going to be the outcome... then it switches. it has a very creative plot alongside the type of love story I could see developing. Parts of the film has that jaw dropping effect that just keeps getting better. I think most people who see this film will want to watch it again to understand it more or simply to just to watch it again. I loved the concept that a man could go back 8 minutes using a computer programme before an explosion in a bid to save lives. The visual effects of the explosions looked really cool to watch. The director has produced the world a smart action thriller that does its job extremely well and will be talked about for months to come. The Best Film in 2011 So Far. Jake Gyllenhaal has done it again. This has got to be his best work on screen in a very long time. His character as Capt. Colter Steven was a very heart pounding person to watch. He carried this film from the moment we set eyes on him all the way to the end. He's a smart and charming man that just had everything his character needed. A Very good actor. Michelle Monaghan is one pretty woman. Her character was Christina. She plays this neatly dressed, well-spoken woman exceptionally well. I'm sure it wasn't easy trying to keep up with forever changing scenarios. The women on the monitor screen is Carol Goodwin, her character is played by Vera Farmiga. She help us understand more as the film goes along. She also is a very good actress. Jeffery Wright plays a very believable Dr. Rutledge. I for one was surprised to see Russell Peters in this film (when did he become an actor?). I have to give credit to the comedian because he does an Applausable job, surprisingly the acting seemed to come natural to him. This cast was amazing as a whole.

Putlocker The Way Back (2010)
This is a film for people who appreciate epic landscapes and survivor stories. It has some engaging characters but not brilliant dialogue or complicated characters. Mostly, it is a visual film, displaying the vulnerability of a few people in a harsh, vast, beautiful landscape. They must depend on each other, and they develop an intimacy based on their shared struggle rather than on deep conversations and emotional revelations, or at least, not until a young girl joins them. Weir seems to be commenting on the yin yang of masculinity/femininity at times in this film. I also liked the subtle underlying commentary on the brutal oppression of the Soviet regime under Stalin. All of the actors were good; Farrell adds a touch of humor, Sturgess portrays anguish well, and Harris is a good tough old guy--his usual persona. By the way, I tried to review this film on The New York Times website but apparently I've been banned there, for criticizing Manohla Dargis once too often I suppose. In her bizarre review, she complains that Farrell is too good-looking to be a Russian gangster. What this assessment is based on I can't imagine, doubt Dargis hangs with Russian gangsters.
Director: Peter Weir
Cast: Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris and Colin Farrell
Putlocker The Sunset Limited (2011)
The play involves only two nameless characters, designated "White" and "Black", their respective skin colors. Offstage, before the play begins, Black saves White from throwing himself before a train, the sunset limited. All of the action happens in Black’s spare apartment in urban Ny, in which the characters go (in the behest of Black) after their encounter concerning the platform. Black is definitely an ex-convict as well as an evangelical Christian. White is definitely an atheist along with a professor. They debate this really is of human suffering, the existence of God, and also the propriety of White’s attempted suicide. Right off the bat, this movie is a great watch for anyone, no matter what they believe about life, death, or what's next. This movie does an amazing job of addressing theological philosophy without alienating anybody. These are things we all think about, whether or not we've come to any conclusions. The acting and directing are terrific. Couldn't be better. The writing is good enough to make it worth reading the play by itself. In the same way that a really good "sports movie" can be deeply moving to people who aren't exactly sports fans, this movie will be deeply moving to people who aren't necessarily into thinking about God, death, or the afterlife. If you're wondering whether or not to watch, rent, or buy this movie; do it. It's worth it.
Director: Tommy Lee Jones
Cast: Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones
Putlocker The Roommate (2011)
College student Sara finds that her new roommate Rebecca has an obsession with her, which quickly turns violent. I walked into this never hearing about it before and not knowing what it was. At first I thought it was like single white female. Then as the film went on I was surprised, little gore, little cussing, more like a good suspense. The story telling was good, no matter what some might say, I thought it was a good story. This girl seemed to never really go further than the edge, making threats, hurting people, but never to the point of murder. That is what I saw and to me that build up is what is lacking in movies today. They want to show everything from the past to the present and show blood and gore and sex. It was refreshing to see an old style movie with new actors. By the end of the movie it was sit on the edge of my seat and yell at the screen, "Look out behind you" I have not yelled at the movie screen in a long time. Thats what movies are for. I give this film two thumbs up and rate it an 8 out of 10. I would like to see more films like this. I miss old Hollywood.
Director: Christian E. Christiansen
Cast: Minka Kelly, Leighton Meester and Cam Gigandet
Putlocker The Rite (2011)
Supernatural thriller based on Matt Baglio's «The Modern Day Exorcist», which is inspired by true events. After the recent "The last exorcism" another movie with similar style comes to the big screen with more epic proportions and interesting cast. The frightening scenes, the screams and the fast shots impress viewers who they keep out their eyes on the screen. The script however,at the middle of the film, starts to become annoying with naive quotes that cause laughter. Anthony Hopkins reminds (again) Hannibal Lecter but now he is more old and tired. The young Colin O'Donoghue is good in the role of student, giving a freshness to the old-fashioned story and we will probably see him in several films in the future.Michael Hafstrom's direction does not show anything special and does not add something new in a story that we have seen many times in cinema with better direction, for example by Roman Polanski in the Ninth gate. It is definitely a movie that will entertain fans of that kind of movie, with interest ... surprises until the end. Advice: don' t eat before you go to cinema to see The Rite! Add to positive music and depressing atmosphere.
Director: Mikael Håfström
Cast: Colin O'Donoghue, Anthony Hopkins and Ciarán Hinds
Putlocker The Adjustment Bureau (2011)
The Adjustment Bureau, written and directed by George Nolfi based on a short story by the name of Adjustment Team by Philip K. Dick, is about how much one would be willing to sacrifice in the name of love. Matt Damon plays David Norris, a young, ambitious, idealistic Congressman seeking election for a seat in the Senate. However, upon a short encounter with Elise (Emily Blunt), when they share a brief but meaningful kiss, David realizes his true love lies with Elise, not at the hands of registered voters of New York City. The adjustment bureau quickly notices the spark, and was determined to separate the two lovers because according to "the plan", their love was never meant to be. David, however, refuses to back down, and fights against his fate to be with the one he loves. What makes The Adjustment Bureau a truly great movie is that it sends a powerful message: don't be afraid to go after what you want. Even if it means going against the will of a powerful, if not divine being. The movie makes it no secret that "the chairman" is a symbolism for God, and the people of the adjustment bureau are His angels ("we've been called that (angels)", says Harry Mitchell, a member of the adjustment bureau in one scene). However, in the film, even God is not all powerful, as He only has limited enforcers in the adjustment bureau, so if a nuclear warfare were to break out, even He could not prevent the catastrophe that would follow. The film also makes a strong case that free will does take its toll. As Thomson, another adjustment bureau member reminds us in another scene, that although "the chairman" has blessed us with the gifts of intellect and reason, it was those same gifts that caused the world to be on the brink of destruction during the Cuban missile crisis. To add additional pressure for David to keep away from Elise, Thomson informs David that if he chooses to be with her, not only will it ruin his dream, but will also ruin her dream (she is fated to be a famous dancer, and then a famous choreographer). As if to add insult to injury, Thomson flexes his muscle, causing Elise to sprain her ankle, then telling David that he is the one to blame for her injury. After a few twists and turns, the film reaches its climax with a showdown between David and the Thomson, which was very exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat (as did all other parts of the movie), I have to admit that the resolution was a bit of a cop out (I won't ruin it for you). In fact, if the movie had a resolution that was as epic as the rest of the storyline, I would not hesitate to give it 10/10 stars. Unfortunately, the ending did disappoint me a great deal, so as it stands, I'm giving it a 9/10. As a final note, I would like to say that you were planning on watching this movie at all, you almost certainly should see it in the theater. Director George Nolfi (FYI, this is his first movie as director) incorporates beautiful cinematography, as well as great sound mixing (or is it sound editing? I'm not sure). I especially loved the clicking noise of the dressing shoes of Thomson and his enforcers against the tile floor as they chase down David to set him on his "correct" path. The noise was complimented by their perfect formation, as they all send a clear message: we are the ones in charge, and we WILL hunt you down.
Director: George Nolfi
Cast: Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Thoreson
Putlocker The Beaver (2011)
One of the best actresses of her generation, Jodie Foster makes that rare return to the director's chair to helm The Beaver, which had actually gained more traction for its lead actor Mel Gibson having self destructed the last several months in what has been painted as a disastrous personal life with drunken rants and threats turned into physical violence. There's something of a cruel irony in all of this, since Mel's character in The Beaver is a manic depressive, who created this imaginary, titular character out of a puppet to take over the thought and motor functions of his life, in an effort to try and be normal, only for this make belief to slowly consume him. Written by Kyle Killen, The Beaver has two main narrative threads running in the story that revolves around the Black family, where little kid Henry (Riley Thomas Stewart) has to endure a horrid, bullied time in school that got glossed over soon enough, mom Meredith (Jodie Foster herself) having to finally find the strength to boot husband Walter (Mel Gibson) out of the house before his blasé negativity permeates to everyone around him, and oldest kid Porter (Anton Yelchin) who coasts through his life being extremely embarrassed with his estranged father, as well as making a covert reputation for himself in school as the go-to person for essay assignments to be done for a fee, written so well since they're passed off convincingly as someone else's own work, which would be what I felt as someone who is extremely sensitive, expressive and emphatic.
Director: Jodie Foster
Cast: Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster and Anton Yelchin

Putlocker Water for Elephants (2011)
Sara Gruen's Book Water For Elephants was a masterpiece and while books are always better than the movie, this movie came pretty darn close. A few changes were made from the book but the movie captures the essence of the book masterfully. The cinematography alone deserves awards. The set design and costumes are the best I've seen since The Titanic. The cast is sublime. Robert Pattinson proves that he is more than a pretty face. While he still seems to be stiff a couple of times his performance is spot on. His work with Rosie(Tai)the elephant melted my heart. Tai herself stole almost every shot she was in. Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz remind the viewer why they are Academy Award winners. Francis Lawrence's direction and vision for the movie truly transports the viewer to the 1930's. I've seen the movie 3 times and I know I'll go back to see it again. I'll be buying the DVD the day it is released too. The movie is a must see in my opinion.

Putlocker Your Highness (2011)
Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world-Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent's fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed. Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he's settled for a life of wizard's weed, hard booze and easy maidens. But when Fabious' bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux)... It was genuinely hilarious. At first I felt that it was going to be a disappointment because of a few negative reviews that some friends had heard, and because the opening scene wasn't that great, but it seems to be the type of movie that gets funnier as it unfolds, as well as every time you see it. In the fashion of Franco and McBride's previous movie, Pineapple Express, it was a funny action movie that winded up not being quite what I expected, but definitely worth my time and money. The acting was good. The story line wasn't exactly original, but how often is a story line original? Overall a great movie to watch for a lot of laughs and a lot of new catch phrases.
Director: David Gordon Green
Cast: Danny McBride, Natalie Portman and James Franco
Putlocker 11-11-11 (2011)
After the death of his wife and child, an author travels to Barcelona to see his estranged brother and dying father, where he learns that his life is plagued by events that occur on 11/11/11. Review: Many basic questions. And few answers. Pieces of subjective world. Aand the crumbs of a lost universe. Gold of days, honey of mornings. And a photo album as axis of the recreation of that time. A film about the values of small spaces and the passing of time. A film like a good short story. The pictures, the flowers, the bed or the wallpaper color is ours. The questions are only seeds. And the fruits are result of special work of a neighbor... A piano song in a very deep room. The story is not very important. The point are emotions. Searches. Slices of hope. And the warm expectation. A film in which the spectator is part. Not another actor but a small bone of show. A show who exists in himself. So, it is not possible to be the outsider. Beautiful in a form without words,"11-11-11" is a interesting lesson without appearances and masks.
Director: Darren Lynn Bousman
Cast: Timothy Gibbs, Michael Landes and Brendan Price
Putlocker 30 Minutes or Less (2011)
The film opens with a beat-up old blue Mustang flying through the air, as its driver launches it at high-speed through a neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) works for Vito's Pizza, which has a strict 30-minutes-or-less deli User Review: Now this is my style of comedy. It has a great plot, hilarious dialog, awesome actors and a good amount of action. Eisenberg stars as Nick, a pizza delivery driver who never delivers the pizza in time. He hangs out with his friend, Chet and get drunk. On the other side of town are Dwayne and Travis, two slacker friends want money and try to open a tanning salon/brothel. Dwayne decides to hire a hit-man to kill his rich dad, but he needs $100,000 to do so. At random, they get Nick to deliver them a pizza, but they knock him out and strap a bomb to his chest. If he doesn't rob a bank within ten hours, they will detonate the bomb. Nick asks Chet help him in robbing the bank. (The scene when they're robbing the bank is hilarious!) Will Nick get the money to Dwayne before times runs out? If you want a dirty dark comedy, you'll love 30 MINUTES OR LESS!!!
Director: Ruben Fleischer
Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride and Nick Swardson
