Putlocker Ondine (2010)
Ondine, produced by Neil Jordan, is a story about a fisherman by the name of Syracuse (Colin Farrell) who one day fishes from the sea a beautiful "woman" (Alicja Bachleda) who apparently lost her memory but keeps a more. She wants to be called Ondine since Ondine is "the one who came out from the waters first". The chemistry between Syracuse and Ondine exist and you witness a surprisingly true story of love between these 2 characters. In his journey to understand her he realizes she is nothing but the selkie (half-human half-seal who loves to sing) the locals knew from the story about "the fisherman and the girl in the net". Annie, a girl who suffers from a kidney failure disease, is Syracuse daughter and she keeps a strong balance between his father and Ondine but things get interesting when a special villain infiltrates in the story who tries to deceive and destroy all the hope that surrounds these two lovers. The story gets deeper and deeper especially into the second part of the movie where Syracuse is frightened that Ondine will haunt him forever and then the emotional conflicts begin. Other than that the ending contains twists that make the fairytale seem ... real in a real world. The story is beautiful but it has its points where you could skip like about 2-3 mins because nothing really happens or the dialogue is poor written but still that doesn change the fact that the movie might get interesting once you e going through it. I never read the fairytale nor I saw other adaptations of Ondine but this one made it clear for me that this is a great movie to watch in a lazy afternoon all alone especially if you e going through melancholic times. Like I said the acting was well mostly because the characters are written well and the chemistry exists between each pair though the Vladic (the villain) was kind of lame. The movie has a surprisingly good cinematography and the soundtrack fits the weird-fantasy atmosphere. I don recommend this movie to everyone because its not a movie for everyone simply because some won understand it or some will bash it considering it boring or slow-paced but if you e into love tales or journeys into thoughtful worlds then this is the movie for you.

Putlocker Shrek Forever After (2010)
A bored and domesticated Shrek pacts with deal-maker Rumpelstiltskin to get back to feeling like a real ogre again, but when he's duped and sent to a twisted version of Far Far Away -- where Rumpelstiltskin is king, ogres are hunted, and he and Fiona have never met -- he sets out to restore his world and reclaim his true love. Shrek Forever After (and yes, that's the official title as seen in the first real shot of the film) is a welcome return to form after the disappointment of Shrek The Third, which LOOKED beautiful but hit all the wrong notes. This one has recaptured the fun of the franchise while potentially being the darkest one in terms of plot. Alternate universe stories have been done to death, but the appealing nature of so many of the characters makes this one work, as well as the fact that the filmmakers are clearly trying to wrap up the story (which includes a small bit of retconning at the beginning, but it pays off toward the end). The 3D occasionally falls into the trap of throwing things towards the audience, but the characters and sets are so beautifully animated in all dimensions (the textures of Shrek and Donkey, particularly, have improved even on the wonder that was Kung Fu Panda) that the 3D actually adds to the enjoyment. The first two remain the crown jewels of the franchise, but this is a worthy addition and a suitable end to the... well, saga is too strong a word, so storyline will have to do. And the bonus? Eddie Murphy gets to sing SEVERAL songs WITHIN the movie!

Cast: Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy
Putlocker A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Death stalks the dreams of several young adults to claim its revenge on the killing of Freddy Kruger. Chased and chastised by this finger-bladed demon, it is the awakening of old memories and the denials of a past of retribution that spurns this hellish vision of a dreamlike state and turns death into a nightmare reality. It was definitely Platinum Dunes' best movie. The first 30-45 minutes were very powerful, and then it kind of slacked, but came back at the end. Nevertheless, I surprisingly never lost interest, something I was kind of expecting, because I've been keeping up with this movie for almost a year now. It held me to the very end, and I never got bored with it. Putting the movie up against the original, it failed. But putting it up against the entire Nightmare franchise, I'd say it was better than all the sequels. A very worthy entry, a great popcorn movie, and a great comeback to an icon who hasn't had a movie completely to himself in 16 years. I'll definitely buy it when it comes out. Putting it in the context of remakes/reboots, I'd say it was above RZ's Halloween II, Stepfather, Friday The 13th, Texas Chainsaw, and The Wolfman, but lower than Hills Have Eyes and Last House On The Left.
Director: Samuel Bayer
Cast: Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara and Kyle Gallner

Putlocker The Runaways (2010)
In 1975, San Fernando Valley teen Joan Larkin reinvents herself as Joan Jett, a guitarist who wants to form an all-girl punk band. She pitches the idea to a sleazy manager, Kim Fowley, who pairs her with a drummer and then searches for a face: he finds Cherie Currie, at 15 the perfect jailbait image for his purpose; by luck, she can sing. Two others round out the band, "The Runaways." Fowley books a tour, signs them to Mercury Records, and packs them off to crowds in Japan. Seeds of conflict sprout early: Fowley puts Cherie front and center in the publicity, she's soon strung out on pills and vodka, and jealousies arise. Without adult supervision, where can Joan and Cherie end up?

Putlocker Our Family Wedding (2010)
"Our marriage, their wedding." It's lesson number one for any newly engaged couple, and Lucia and Marcus are no exception. In Our Family Wedding, they learn the hard way that the path to saying "I do" can be rife with familial strife. When they return from college and too suddenly announce their marriage plans, they soon discover that their fathers - two highly competitive over-the-top egos - can wreak a major amount of havoc on their special day. With insults flying and tempers running high, it's anyone's guess if the alpha dads will survive to make it down the aisle in one piece. Lucia's mother is busy planning the wedding of "her" dreams and the only levelheaded one in the bunch is Angela, the groom's father's best friend and lawyer, who manages to keep her cool when the madness reaches a crescendo. With only weeks to plan their wedding, Lucia and Marcus soon discover the true meaning of love and find there is truth to the saying - that when you marry someone... Do not pay attention to the ridiculously low rating this film has accumulated. It's hardly one of the best movies you'll ever see, but it is overall much more enjoyable than not. The young leads are a charming, believable couple, and you do root for them. I thought the more obvious (meaning unfunny) racial jokes were actually kept to a respectable minimum, considering that culture clash is the main premise of the movie. Some scenes work better than others. One involving the families figuring out the "seating schematic" is quite clever and funny. One involving a bathroom is a rather shameless and unfunny ripoff of a scene from "Father of the Bride." Carlos Mencia, I have to say, I don't think is funny or a particularly good actor. I kept finding myself imagining someone else in the part (*cough* George Lopez... or anyone else, really). But he wasn't enough to ruin the movie for me. The best parts of the movie were the story with Forest Whitaker and Regina King, and anything with Charlie Murphy, who has a small but hilarious role. The one scene featuring him and Taye Diggs was the one time I laughed HARD. And yes, as another reviewer pointed out, the actress playing the sister was excellent. Most of the plot points are predictable, yes, but I didn't really hold that against "Our Family Wedding." I at least had a better time than I've had at most real weddings. I give it a 6 out of 10.

Putlocker Defendor (2010)
A crooked cop, a mob boss and the young girl they abuse are the denizens of a city's criminal underworld. It's a world that ordinary Arthur Poppington doesn't understand and doesn't belong in, but is committed to fighting when he changes into a vigilante super-hero of his own making, Defendor. With no power other than courage Defendor takes to the streets to protect the city's innocents. Probably the best movie so far, this year. And it would have dodged my radar completely if my friend wouldn't have recommended it to me. So here's me, recommending it to you. It's a dark comedy, which will make you laugh, no doubt. But it's comedy saturated with a sad story about this great guy that escapes his ordinary life by turning into this Defendor character. Someone who's not afraid. Allegedly a thousand times better than the guy without the mask. And together they'll make you love this movie. It actually reminded me a lot of "Reign Over Me" with Adam Sandler. Which is also very good. If you're in the mood for a drama that'll captivate you, but won't rip your heart out, like Million Dollar Baby might have or most certainly will. This is what you're looking for.

Putlocker Bitch Slap (2009)
I came into the theatre of the Premier of this film not expecting much, and came out with a smile on my face, and some new one liners in my mind. The Director and Stars of the film were at the premier at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film was shot about 75% on Green Screen, which made it cheesy and fun. I love the fact that this film was made to be a B-Movie, nothing more, nothing less. The soundtrack was great, and the actors were great as well. This film is so much fun, and is going to attracked a cult following. I am so glad that there wasn any comments before going into the film, and that is why I am just typing and not commenting on what took place, because to go into a film not expecting something and come out with this pleasure of seeing a film that was so well done, is the best feeling in the world. I hope this one comes out, and people start watching it.....

Putlocker Crazy On The Outside (2010)
I thought this was going to be more of a laugh your ass off comedies, but that was not to be. Now, I am not saying the movie is bad, and it does have its moments with good comedy. But "Crazy on the Outside" is more of a warm story movie. There is something heartfelt to the story. And the build up and turns in the story are nice, especially the way the story progresses around the lies. The acting in the movie was really good, on everyones part. And good to see marvelous performances from Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver and Ray Liotta, as usual. Actually nice to see Allen and Liotta back in a movie together. And with only supporting roles, Weaver and Liotta does one heck of a job with their roles. If you are expecting an all-out laugh your ass off comedy, this is not the movie to pick. But I think people should watch this movie at least once, because it is quite nice.

Putlocker Leap Year (2010)
I just got back from the theater under an hour ago, and am still in a good mood after having watched this. Some romantic comedies are more comedy than romance, or more romance than comedy, but this one blends the two into something especially delightful. I left the theater with more of a bounce in my step and a wide smile on my face, despite having had a not so great day. Its not perfectly original--there were parts where I was able to say ahead of time precisely what was going to happen next--but it is not entirely formulaic, either. And there is something comfortable about the familiar, especially if it is done slightly different. Matthew Goode surprised me in his role, and there the originality is quite refreshing. I hadn realized exactly how limited of roles I am used to seeing the typical "rom-com" male fit into, until he kept breaking my expectations. And I like how real Amy Adams is: no harsh looking clavicle bones sticking out, minimal makeup, and her face hasn been pinched and pulled into a tight canvas. The Irish scenes are gorgeous, and the accents entertaining. And, I don know if there was anyone else who was pleased, but I was ecstatic at this proof of a great romantic comedy kept within a PG rating. No embarrassing scenes to make mixed company awkward; no offensive profanity. It IS PG, of course, so don expect "Little Mermaid" standards, but it was still incredibly clean for the genre. I have little brothers aged 7 and 9 (who Im very protective of), and I would not have felt embarrassed to allow them to watch this. Overall, a great show for the genre. The best Ive seen in a long time. Not perfect, but if you e in it for entertainment and a feel-good story, rather than as a movie critic, I think youll really enjoy it.

Putlocker The Secret of Kells (2009)
Young Brendan lives in a remote medieval outpost under siege from barbarian raids. But a new life of adventure beckons when a celebrated master illuminator arrives from foreign lands carrying an ancient but unfinished book, brimming with secret wisdom and powers. To help complete the magical book, Brendan has to overcome his deepest fears on a dangerous quest that takes him into the enchanted forest where mythical creatures hide. It is here that he meets the fairy Aisling, a mysterious young wolf-girl, who helps him along the way. But with the barbarians closing in, will Brendan's determination and artistic vision illuminate the darkness and show that enlightenment is the best fortification against evil? The Secret of Kells is one of the most unique, beautiful, and eye- popping animated films I have ever seen. Before watching this film, I was convinced that nothing could give Up a run for its money and that it was a shoo-in to win in this category, but I found in Kells a serious contender. The Secret of Kells tell the story of a young orphan named Brendan, who lives with his uncle, the Abbot of Kell. The Abbot is a loving guardian, but perhaps a bit too strict and much more concerned with fortifying the wall around the town from a coming attack by vikings than he is at nurturing the boy's imagination. When the legendary Brother Aidan (who looks surprisingly like Willie Nelson) shows up and takes the boy under his wing, Brendan goes on a journey into the woods and meets a lovely forest nymph named Aisling who takes a liking to him (and saves his life more than once). With Aisling's help, he attempts to save the town and help Brother Aidan complete the mystical book which—legend has it—can turn dark into light.

Putlocker Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (2010)
"Cats & Dogs": the idea of the original movie (which I haven't still seen, but I will) didn't appeal me 10 years ago. But then, 10 years ago I had no kids, and when they seemed really interested in this 3D action flick about cats and dogs fighting and teaming up to save the world... well, I decided. That there was a 3D-animation/3D-projection Roadrunner short before it finally tipped the scales towards going. And I'm not sorry. It's not a very smart movie and the dialog is quite simple (OK, the dove character and some of the supporting cast is plain boring), but it worked great as a family movie: the kids (specially the 4 years one, who loved "Toy Story 3") liked the plot and followed it quite all the time without need of much explaining, and the parents liked the sometimes blatant, sometimes more silently reference to movies and sagas, from Bond's (it's really Shirley Bassey at the opening credits!) to "Die Hard", "Lethal Weapon", "Men in Black" or even Burton's "Batman". The middle part was a bit slow (both in the CGI an plot advancement departments) and the main character development was scarce, by any means; much more interesting was his kitty companion and the misadventures of both the villain and his mouse. All in all, recommended as a light family film or as a cop & spy spoof (if you want the spoof not to be as offensive to the original material as the Scary/Date/Disaster/Superhero Movie sagas.

Putlocker Mirrors 2 (2010)
While driving on the road with his fiancée Kayla, Max Matheson has a serious car accident and they both die. However, Max is resuscitated and one year later he is an emotionally disturbed man with the guilty complex for the murder of his beloved fiancée and under psychological treatment with Dr. Beaumont. When his father Jack Matheson reopens the Mayflower Department Store in New Orleans, his security guard Henry Schow has an accident and Jack invites Max to be his replacement to help in his cure. Max accepts the job and his father introduces him to the store manager Keller Landreaux; the buyer Jenna McCarty; and the vice-president of operations Ryan Parker. Max has visions of a dead woman and he foresees the death of Jenna and Ryan in the mirror. Sooner Max finds that he has the ability to see Eleanor Reigns, an employee that is missing, and he contacts her sister Elizabeth Reigns to know details of her disappearance... Well, having just sat through this sequel to the otherwise fairly nice movie "Mirrors" from 2008, this movie was somewhat of a disappointing follow-up. First of all, I wonder if any of the people behind this movie ever saw "Stir of Echoes" (the movie with Kevin Bacon)? Because "Mirrors 2" seems like an outright copy of that movie, just set in a different setting. This movie isn all bad, don get me wrong. I think the acting was actually fair enough, although it is no award-winning performances, but people did well enough with what they had. However, the movie is lacking depths for the characters, because you never get to immerse yourself fully into the characters. And also the effects were good enough. And the apparition of Eleanor in the mirror was just disturbing enough to make her (at least) somewhat creepy to look at. The storyline and plot is not well-thought through. As I mentioned above, it seems to be a replica of "Stir of Echoes". Despite that, then the story moved on at a good enough pace, although it was predictable and there weren any surprise twists or moments that made you go wow. Now that I have seen it, I somewhat sit here with a feeling of his is the type of sequel that never really should have seen the light of day. This was like brewing soup off of an already cooked-out broth. Very weak storyline and an overall pointless movie. If you like the first movie "Mirrors", then I bet you will be disappointed with this sequel. But if you haven seen the first movie, then you might just like this one. However, for a nights worth of scared entertainment, your money is better spent on "Geoul Sokeuro" (aka. "Into the Mirror") a Korean horror movie from 2003. It outshines "Mirrors 2" by a light-years, and it is also better than the original "Mirrors" movie.
